This program acts as a hospital diversion or step-down from an inpatient hospital stay.&nbsp; The length of stay varies based on medical necessity but is commonly between 30 to 45 days.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-clients-are-provided-a-range-of-services-including\"><strong>Clients are provided a range of services including;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>individual, group, and family counseling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>peer support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>medication management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>case management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>psycho-educational programming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The team at McAuliffe is made up of an APRN who specializes in mental health and substance use disorders, licensed clinicians, group facilitators, a Peer Recovery Specialist, and other support staff. Clients are housed in four 5-person apartments that allow for privacy and independence. For recreation, The McAuliffe Center also has a weight room, pool table, air hockey, and basketball court for use during leisure time. &nbsp;Clients are assisted with discharge planning and referrals to other organizations for long term assistance based on their individual needs.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"638\" src=\"https:\/\/ctrenaissance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/CTR_Website_quotes_April2025-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2441\" style=\"width:538px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ctrenaissance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/CTR_Website_quotes_April2025-2.png 750w, https:\/\/ctrenaissance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/CTR_Website_quotes_April2025-2-300x255.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The goal of the program is to take a person-centered approach to help clients to not only stabilize but, to excel and reconnect with their supports and their community. Clients may return to the community or pursue further long-term treatment. Referrals are accepted from the Connecticut Court Support Services Division, community providers, and individuals seeking help through self-referral. Lengths of stay vary based on medical necessity but are commonly between 45 to 60 days. During their stay, clients engage in structured, evidence-based treatment within a supportive residential setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Program offers a wide range of services to each client including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>individual, family, and group counseling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>psycho-educational programming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>life skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>self-help meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>formal referrals to community agencies based on individual needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This program provides education on substance use and mental health treatment by identifying triggers to use and relapse prevention skills.
